After back-to-back hit films such as Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Bhumi Pednekar has carved a niche for herself in the film industry. Bhumi made her Bollywood debut with Sharat Katariya's Dum Laga Ke Haisha and went on to star along with Akshay Kumar, in the Shree Narayan Singh directorial. The actress, who has 5 releases this year, is gearing for the release of her next film titled Sonchiriya. Not only this, the actress today completed four years in the film industry, and in a recent interview, she revealed how she felt.

In a report published by Bombay Times, Bhumi was quoted as saying, "It’s giving me goosebumps. I’ve always wanted to be an actor as this is the only thing I know how to do but since I don’t belong to a film family, I wasn’t sure. But my parents gave me a good education and the freedom to follow my dreams. Dum Laga Ke Haisha set the ball rolling and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha took it a notch higher. I lost my father a few years ago before I became an actor and today, I think he’s my guardian angel, guiding my career. All the characters I’ve played so far have been diversely different, none of them are from a rich background but they have been rich in emotions."
