ARMY CONDUCTS PRE-RECRUITMENT TRAINING FOR YOUTH



Udhampur (J&K) : 13 AUG 2019


Indian Army at various places to include Kalal, Lam, Kalakot, Gool, Bagga and Samote is conducting a Six week long ‘Pre-Recruitment Training’ from 18 Jul to 31 Aug 19 for youth. The youth are being trained to join the Armed Forces under the supervision of well qualified training teams of the Army units. The engagement of youth, despite current Internal Security situation in the State of Jammu & Kashmir has gone a long way in promoting peace, religious harmony and tranquility of exceptional order.

A total of approximately 250 youth are participating in the training cadre. Methods and procedures being adopted for recruitment in the Armed Forces, to include eligibility conditions, physical and medical standards, academic qualifications and requirement of documents are being explained to them during this training capsule. The vital aim of the training is to provide a launch pad to youth and young blood to join the Armed Forces which will provide them an opportunity to serve the country as a matter of pride as well as an inspiring career with attractive remunerations. The youth will also be imparted with the knowledge of procedures and training aimed to improve their physical standards through well-structured physical training programmes.

After culmination of the training, physical test and written examination covering general knowledge, general mental ability, reasoning, current affairs and mock tests will also be organized to check the progress of training. Such activities undertaken by the Army will go a long way in establishing peace, provide career options to the youth and help in overall development of the backward rural areas.
